UTI Infection

We only bill you for the consultation itself. The cost of any prescribed medications is charged separately by the pharmacy when you pick them up.

This way, you're only paying for what you need, and medication costs are handled directly at your chosen pharmacy.

UTI Infection

  • A urinary tract infection (UTI) is a common condition that affects the urinary system. Oracle Medical offers online prescription services for convenient and affordable UTI treatment.

  • UTIs often cause burning during urination (dysuria), urgency, and frequent urination. Some may have no symptoms. UTIs affect about 150 million people globally each year.

  • UTI treatments typically involve antibiotics in tablet, pill, or liquid form, such as:

    • Amoxicillin

    • Ampicillin

    • Ceftriaxone (Rocephin)

    • Cephalexin (Keflex)

    • Ciprofloxacin

    • Fosfomycin (Monurol)

    • Levofloxacin (Levaquin)

    • Methenamine (Hiprex)

    • Nitrofurantoin (Macrobid, Macrodantin)

    • Trimethoprim/Sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim)

  • Bactrim is a cost-effective UTI treatment. Ciprofloxacin (Cipro) and Levofloxacin (Levaquin) are stronger antibiotics used for severe cases, including kidney infections. Nitrofurantoin is another effective option. Cephalexin may face resistance issues. Ceftriaxone and Ampicillin are for hospital settings.

  • UTI medications are effective when taken as prescribed. Incomplete courses can lead to unresolved infections. Phenazopyridine (Pyridium) may relieve symptoms, and ondansetron can help with severe nausea and vomiting.

  • UTI medications can cause side effects like stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, skin rashes, and muscle pain. Allergic reactions are possible. Consult your medical provider and pharmacist for concerns.

  • UTIs cause symptoms like an ongoing urge to urinate, cloudy or foul-smelling urine, and pain during urination. Untreated UTIs can progress to kidney infections, causing back pain, stomach pain, and vomiting, potentially requiring hospitalization.

  • UTI treatments require prescription antibiotics, not available without a prescription. Oracle Medical connects individuals with medical providers who can prescribe UTI medications when appropriate.
